Signatory Ceremony Documentation

Purpose

When a treasury creates new cold storage wallets, the ceremony itself becomes part of the custody record. We attend the seed generation and hardware initialization process to produce a witnessed document that auditors and successor signers can rely on years later.

Scope

  • Pre-ceremony checklist review with the lead signatory
  • Attendance during seed phrase generation (we never view or record the seed itself)
  • Photographic documentation of hardware devices, tamper-evident packaging, and storage containers
  • Signer attestation forms completed by each participant
  • Post-ceremony summary delivered within three business days

Constraints

Ceremonies must be scheduled at least five business days in advance. We require a private room with no unauthorized personnel present. Remote ceremonies require a stable video connection and a second witness from your organization.
