About Toolkit Elm Field
The registered business behind compliance-ready custody notes for private treasuries, established in Incheon in 2019.
Toolkit Elm Field Co., Ltd. was established in 2019 in Incheon, South Korea, to address a gap we observed in private treasury operations: excellent security practice around cold storage, but fragile documentation that collapsed whenever a key person left the organization.
Official registered business
Legal name: Toolkit Elm Field Co., Ltd. Established: 2019 Registered office: Office 10, 54 Demo-ro, Seo-gu, Incheon 00000
We are a documentation practice, not a custodian. We have never held private keys, seed phrases, or digital assets on behalf of clients.
Our origin
The firm began when our founding director, a former corporate internal auditor, assisted a family office in Incheon after their treasury manager departed without leaving coherent records for twelve hardware wallets spread across three locations. The reconstruction took six weeks. That experience convinced us that custody documentation deserved the same rigor as custody security itself.
Expertise
Our team includes professionals with backgrounds in internal audit, corporate treasury operations, and information governance. We understand multisig arrangements, hardware wallet inventories, and the documentation expectations that external auditors bring to digital asset holdings.
Working approach
We work from your vault inventory — device types, serial numbers, storage locations, and signer roles — without ever requesting seed phrases or private keys. Every engagement produces a structured ledger designed for board review, successor signer onboarding, and external audit.
Values
- Accuracy over speed — A custody ledger with errors is worse than no ledger at all.
- Confidentiality — Client custody details are handled under strict non-disclosure terms.
- Plain language — Board members who do not manage wallets daily should still understand the record.
Relationship to clients
Most of our clients are repeat engagements: an initial ledger preparation followed by annual reviews and ceremony documentation as wallets are added or signers change. We maintain long-term relationships with treasuries across Seoul, Busan, and international offices with Korean operations.
